The historic “Talkessel” circuit in Teutshcenthal hosted the German Grand Prix, the eleventh round of the 2021 season.
Alessandro Lupino (KTM 450 SX-F) closed the timed practice with an excellent seventh place and was also the best of the Italians present at the race. Luck did not help the Viterbo in the race. After a start close to the top ten, Alessandro was forced to retire during the sixth lap due to a problem with the injection system caused by a stone fired by an opponent's bike. In the final fraction Lupino hit another good start and during the race he was able to recover up to eleventh position. Despite the mishap in race one, Alessandro finished fifteenth in the overall of the day and maintained the ninth place in the championship standings.
Good performance for Valerio Lata (KTM 125 SX) in the third round of the EMX125 European championship. Fourth in his group of timed tests, the Roman started in fourth place in the first heat and thanks to an excellent pace he crossed the finish line in the place of honor. In the second Valerio made a good start but at the end of the first lap he crashed and found himself far from the leaders. Despite another crash he managed to recover until he finished the heat in thirteenth position. Lata finished in seventh place in the overall of the day and managed to earn the necessary points to take possession of the Red Table as leader in the championship.
Next weekend MRT Racing Team will be involved in the French Grand Prix, the twelfth round of the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship, which will be hosted by the Lacapelle Marival track.

Alessandro Lupino: "During the past week I was unable to train on the bike due to the after-effects of the blow I suffered in the last heat in Mantua. This morning, however, I immediately felt good and set the seventh fastest time in timed practice. In the first moto I didn't start very well but I was lapping strong and I was recovering when I had a problem with the bike and I had to retire. Also in the second the start was not the best but in the first part of the race I had a good pace and I recovered several positions. In the final I dropped slightly and was unable to go beyond the 11th place finish. With the retirement in race one I lost a lot of points in the championship but I remained ninth in the standings. There are still seven races to go until the end of the championship and I'm sure I'll be able to get some good places. "

Valerio Lata. “In the first heat I started around the fourth position and I recovered up to the second. In the final I tried to win but unfortunately I was unable to overtake the rider in front of me. In the second the start was still good but at the end of the first lap I crashed and found myself in the middle of the group. I pushed as hard as I could but wasn't able to do better than thirteenth at the finish. However, the weekend was positive because thanks to the points earned today I moved up to the top of the championship standings. In the next races we will have to do our utmost to defend this red plate and try to keep it as long as possible. "
